“Smithwick's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Baptismal House
“In 1882 Ása T. Peal and Abram Tice gave out of natural love and respect a half-acre of land at the Dipping Hole to the Smithwick Creek Primitive Baptist Church for the privilege of a baptising place.
“The Baptismal House was built in 1892 it was segregated by gender and participants changed into dry clothes after having been baptised in the creek. It was utilized in the 1930s but was moved in 2000 because of flooding.”
