The Voice of America has been broadcasting from three eastern North Carolina sites for more than 50 years. With changes in technology, Site A in Beaufort County was abandoned some years ago and became a Gameland. Site C’s (Greenville) administrative and receiving functions were rolled into Site B in Pitt County and the property abandoned. Site B continued to broadcast around the world until abruptly closed by Trump fiat earlier this year.
